Gus Wenner, son of Rolling Stone founder Jan Wenner and President/CEO of publishing company Wenner Media announced that they were “exploring strategic options for its majority interest in Rolling Stone to best position the brand for future growth.”
Rolling Stone Magazine was founded by Jan Wenner in San Francisco in 1967 and quickly became iconic by featuring trailblazing rock musicians. Artists such as The Doors, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin and The Rolling Stones were all featured on the cover of the magazine.
