Brewer will sign a minimum deal for the remainder of the season, league sources said. Brewer and the Los Angeles Lakers agreed to a contract buyout Wednesday, one day before the deadline for players to reach free agency and be eligible for the postseason. Brewer has averaged 3.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game in 54 contests this season. He’s in his 11th season and has brought reliable scoring and a defensive presence during his career, and was the No. 7 overall selection in the 2007 NBA draft.
