SZA announced that following the release of her sophomore album, she will not be releasing any more albums. SZA said in a new interview that she’s working on the follow-up to CTRL and that she doesn’t have plans to go much further after its release. SZA has been open about her struggles with depression in the past. She hinted at her impending retirement: “My world got so much smaller so fast. I have so much to write about. I feel like I’m in a cage. I’m making the best album of my life for this next album and I know that… because it’s going to be my last album.” SZA’s debut album CTRL was met with huge success.
