The Los Angeles District attorney decided not to press a felony charge against R&B singer Trey Songz after a woman accused him of violently attacking her during NBA All-Star weekend in February. Songz’ lawyer Shawn Holley submitted information to D.A. Jackie Lacey‘s office that contradicted the claims of alleged victim, Andrea Buera. Songz was arrested in early March, but was released two hours later after posting bail at $50,000. Buera accused Songz of striking her at a Hollywood party because he found her socializing with another man. Buera claimed that she suffered such intense blows that it forced her to vomit from a concussion. However, Songz’ legal days are far from over–the case will go to the City Attorney’s office, to determine whether he will face a lesser charge of misdemeanor domestic violence.
