Rapper XXXTentacion was shot and killed during an apparent robbery Monday in Broward County, Florida, police said. The 20-year-old rapper, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was leaving a motorsports store shortly before 4 p.m. when two men in a dark colored SUV shot and killed him in an apparent robbery, according to the Broward County sheriff department. XXXTentacion was facing trial for a domestic violence charge against his pregnant girlfriend. In 2016, he was arrested on charges including home invasion for a 2015 incident, and less than a month later was arrested on charges that he attacked his girlfriend, who was pregnant at the time.
XXXTentacion was born in Plantation, Florida and rocketed to fame after his song “Look at Me” went viral on social media. His latest album “?” premiered at No. 1 when it was released in March.
