Mike Scioscia, MLB’s longest-tenured manager, denied a report that he is planning to make the 2018 season his last as leader of the Los Angeles Angels. Scioscia’s 10-year, $50 million contract is expiring and reports stated that he is not seeking a new deal, but instead is planning to step down upon the completion of the season. However, the 59-year-old said he would talk to general manager Billy Eppler and owner Arte Moreno after the season about his status.  “Nothing has changed since we talked last October,” Scioscia said Sunday morning. The Angels are in the middle of a disappointing season, sitting in fourth place in the American League West. The Angels have not made the playoffs since 2014, and have not won a playoff game since 2009.
