The Boston Red Sox beat the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 5-1 victory in Game 5 to bring them a World Series championship. Boston capped off a stellar year with the Championship, finishing the regular season 108-54 and in October, winning 11 of 14 games. Starter David Price pitched seven innings, allowing just three hits and one run and struck out five, leading the Sox to clinch another championship, Boston’s fourth since 2004 and ninth in franchise history. Alex Cora became the fifth manager in history to win a World Series in their first year as manager. The Red Sox are planning to host their championship parade in their hometown later this week.
