LL Cool J and Ice Cube are reportedly looking to bid on 22 regional sports channels that Disney is being forced to sell. According to TMZ Sports, Disney acquired the stations as part of its $71 billion deal with 21st Century Fox; but since Disney is already the majority owner of ESPN, owning the 22 stations would allow them to monopolize the market. This new deal is expected to range in price from $15 to $25 billion. Along with Ice Cube and LL Cool J, one of their other partners is billionaire Carolyn Rafaelian; and if they win the bid, the group will own channels such as Fox Sports San Diego, Fox Sports Arizona, Fox Sports Detroit, Fox Sports Southwest and more. Initial bids are due today, November 8.
