Are you prepared for an extended power outage? Due to vast and severe wind events in the forecast, PG&E is taking precautions against wildfires. The company announced they will turn off power Public Safety Power Shutoff or PSPS for approximately 30 counties across northern and central California.

According to a news article from PG&E Currents, counties that may be impacted by the PSPS “include, but is not limited to: Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lake, Mariposa, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Tehama, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba.”
