Jelly Roll will drop his upcoming 10th studio album “Beautifully Broken,” on Oct. 11. The album, named after his headlining tour, will include the singles “I Am Not Okay” and “Liar,” as well as his latest single “Get By.”
ESPN recently chose “Get By” to serve as the 2024 College Football Season anthem, and Jelly Roll will donate all net profits from each pre-order of Beautifully Broken on his website to various organizations helping individuals who struggle with mental health and addiction. Jelly Roll shared in an interview with The New York Times: “I’m looking for songs that have purpose. When I go to put out a song under the name Jelly Roll, I think to myself, Why? Because for the first time in my life, it has nothing to do with a financial decision. I’m well past putting out anything for money. So, now, it really is a why. Songs like ‘Winning Streak,’ that’s a why.”
Jelly Roll recently kicked-off his “Beautifully Broken” tour at Salt Lake City’s Delta Center on Aug. 27, and will travel across the country before wrapping up at Jacksonville, Fla.’s Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena on November 23.
It is with heartfelt sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kultida Woods, passed away early this morning. My Mom was a force of nature all her own, her spirit was simply undeniable. President Donald Trump said on Friday while addressing the Department of Justice that he opposes moving the FBI Headquarters to Greenbelt.
Greenbelt was selected as the site in November 2023 after a lengthy process which also considered Landover and Springfield, Virginia as the site for the new headquarters.
“They were going to build an FBI Headquarters three hours away in Maryland, a liberal state,” Trump said Friday. “But that has no bearing on what I’m about to say, but we’re going to stop it, not going to let that happen.”
The distance between Greenbelt and Washington, D.C. is less than 20 miles.
In a joint statement, Gov. Wes Moore along with Maryland’s entire congressional delegation, with the exception of Rep. Andy Harris, R-District 1, said:
“The FBI needs a new headquarters that meets its mission. The GSA selected Greenbelt for the new, consolidated FBI headquarters based on the fact that it is the best site and it offers the lowest price and the best value to the taxpayers. What’s more, it ensures that the FBI can move to a facility that will finally meet its mission and security needs as soon as possible. We will continue working to bring the headquarters to Maryland, following the final decision that was made to do so in 2023.”
