A suspected Columbia fentanyl trafficker will remain jailed without bond until his trial.

Boone County Circuit Judge Kimberly Shaw has issued the order involving 61-year-old Frazier Pratt Jr., who is charged with felony trafficking drugs, unlawful possession of a firearm and three other felonies. Columbia Police say Pratt, a convicted felon with a criminal record dating back 37 years, was allegedly caught on December 8 with 1.4 pounds of suspected fentanyl. CPD and the North Missouri Drug Task Force say the incident is one of the most significant drug seizures in Columbia in recent memory.

The Columbia Police Department’s two-page probable cause statement says a search warrant at Pratt’s home allegedly found three guns. As a convicted felon, Pratt is not allowed to possess firearms.

A court filing from Boone County prosecutors describes Pratt as a danger to the community, saying that “fentanyl is the leading killer of residents of Boone County and the defendant possessed more than a pound of it.”
