Mizzou men’s basketball team upsets defending national champion Florida in Columbia

Dennis Gates’ Missouri men’s basketball team has improved to 11-3, after Saturday night’s 76-74 upset over #22 Florida in Columbia.

The Gators are the defending national champions. Mizzou had four players in double figures, including Anthony Robinson II, who scored 19 points and also led the team in rebounds (8) and assists (5). Missouri also welcomed the return of junior Trent Pierce, who had missed 13 games due to an injury. Pierce scores ten points off the bench. Bench play was huge in the game: Mizzou’s bench outscored Florida 17-11.

Missouri returns to action Wednesday night when they play Kentucky in Lexington.
