Columbia-based EquipmentShare is going public today (Friday).

The company made the announcement this morning that it has begun trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “EQPT.” Hundreds of EquipmentShare employees are gathering this morning at the company’s Columbia technology center to watch the bell-ringing ceremony.

Governor Mike Kehoe and numerous dignitaries gathered in April for the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the $100-million new headquarters in Columbia.

EquipmentShare was founded in Columbia in 2015 and now has more than 300 locations nationwide. Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe says EquipmentShare’s growth has been incredible to watch.
