
Columbia’s city manager describes assistant city manager Carol Rhodes as a pillar at the city. Carol Rhodes plans to retire on Friday February 13, after 31 years of service to the city.
Carol Rhodes began her career with the city of Columbia in 1994 as secretary to then-city manager Ray Beck. She later served as assistant to the city manager for 16 years and became assistant city manager in 2012.
Columbia city manager De’Carlon Seewood praises Rhodes’ institutional knowledge and leadership, noting she oversaw strategic planning implementation and the formation of the city’s contact center.
