Joe Girardi will not be back next season as manager of the New York Yankees, the team announced Thursday. Girardi just completed the final season of a four-year, $16 million contract. Sources have revealed that Yankees general manager Brian Cashman recommended to owner Hal Steinbrenner that the team change managers.
