The Smashing Pumpkins are officially going back on the road this summer. Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin have announced the Shiny and Oh So Bright Tour, a nearly two-month trek across North America arenas that brings three-fourths of the original lineup together for the first time since 2000. A reunion tour has been rumored for nearly two years, with chatter increasing during the past couple weeks. After teasing a countdown clock on their website last week, the Smashing Pumpkins revealed the new tour with a video featuring Ali Laenger and LySandra Roberts, the two women who appeared on the cover of the band’s 1993 breakthrough record, Siamese Dream. The shows will begin on July 12 at the Gila River Arena in Phoenix and conclude on Sept. 7 at the Ford Idaho Center n Boise. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 23 at 10AM.
