Rapper Juelz Santana will remain in custody after a judge ruled that a proposed bail package was insufficient to allow his release on weapons and drug charges. Judge James Clark 3rd rejected the bail package for Santana (real name is LaRon James.) The specifics of the bail package were not discussed in court. The 36-year-old Santana has been in custody since March 12, when he turned himself in for allegedly having a gun and drugs in his luggage at Newark Liberty International Airport. Santana was on his way to a flight bound for San Francisco on March 9, when authorities said TSA agents found a white-handled derringer .38-caliber special handgun in his carry-on. He also had oxycodone hydrochloride in his luggage, according to court documents. Santana got in a cab and fled from authorities, only to turn himself days later, police said. Another court date has not been scheduled, said his lawyer, Brian Neary.
