Jacksonville made Rochester earn it, but the Rockets beat the Crimsons 39-14 to open up the Central State Eight six week season on Friday night. The Crimsons struck first on a two yard run from Elijah Owens and held a 7-6 lead after the first quarter. Jacob DuRocher scored the first three touchdowns for the Rockets on the ground and then Jack Friedewald and Hank Beatty went to work, splitting time at quarterback and splitting touchdown catches as well. Rochester will travel to Springfield High next Saturday, Jacksonville travels to Glenwood next Friday.
