Speaker 04:
We are back here on Katz and Cosby. Huge rally last night for former President Trump. And joining us is someone who was there and said his speech was a blockbuster, is the greatest New York Senator, Al D'Amato. Take it away.
Speaker 02:
The best speech I ever heard Donald Trump give. It was fabulous from the beginning to the end for an hour and a half. He kept the people in rapture. And he hit the point. He started out. I will secure the border. And I will bring criminal prosecutions against those who have been committing these crimes. He was terrific. And he talked about, I will reduce the cost of living for our people, our citizens. We will drill, baby, drill. We will become energy independent in the next year and bring the cost of living down. And by the way, just think about this. If your energy cost goes down, it means not only buying gasoline, running your cars, but all the businesses that do. The heating of our homes, the running of our businesses. Bring the cost of living down for the American people. and create a climate where our communities become safe. And then he talked about deporting those who should be deported. And he's right. Look at what's happened to our cities. It's incredible. And what do you have taking place? You have people who come in here, many of them people of terrible backgrounds, some criminals, and we are feeding them, housing them, closing them. At the expense of our taxpayers. Look at the city of New York. Hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars a year. Billions of dollars being spent by hardworking taxpayers. And guess what?
Speaker 04:
And Senator, too, no money for veterans. Like it seems like homeless veterans are saying, what about us?
Speaker 02:
Homeless Americans, veterans included. And what are we doing? We're housing. We're taking care of. We're giving them credit cards. I mean, this is incredible.
Speaker 01:
Senator, it's Tony Carbonetti.
Speaker 02:
It's Tony Carbonetti.
Speaker 01:
I have a question. What you saw last night, you were there in 1984. Yep. When Reagan had that huge victory. Yes. What you saw last night, can it happen again?
Speaker 02:
Yes, it can. I want to tell you, I think you're going to see the battleground states. wing to Trump. He's getting stronger and stronger. Kamala Harris has nothing but a lot of money. They buy lots of ads. They're trying to buy their voters. And you know what I mean by that. And it's not going to work. It's stalled. She got a bump in the beginning, but it has stalled. And Trump, if he stays on message like he did last night, He runs away with this election.
Speaker 04:
I'm telling you. Tell us, Senator, too, because you were there. What was the reaction from the crowd? Was the crowd going crazy? It looked like it was like, wow, and packed outside.
Speaker 02:
He had them mesmerized for an hour and a half. And I was mesmerized. He was he was never better. And I spoke to him last night. I said, you know what you have to do. Stick on the issues. Stick on the borders. Stick on what you're going to do to make this country energy independent, to get the costs down for people so that they can live here again with some dignity and not be in poverty. And let me tell you, he did it. He hit a grand slam home run. And I tell you, I don't think he's going to carry New York, but he's going to run a heck of a lot stronger. He's going to help the Republicans who are running for Congress. We've got four tough battle seats where we have incumbent Republicans. I think they're all going to win, three of them in Long Island. Anthony D'Esposito. Trump's presence helped the whole picket in New York. And I have to tell you, if you can get that, you can. It's been recorded an hour and a half. It's worthwhile getting it and watching it. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 04:
I watch it live. And I was cheering when they said El Domingo, when he said the great New York. We heard that one. That was terrific. Well, Senator, it is so great to have you here. We love having you here on the show. And we love hearing you get a big, big shout out. The whole world heard that last night. It was great.
Speaker 02:
Great being with you. Keep up the great work.
Speaker 04:
Thank you.
Speaker 02:
America, we're going to survive and thrive. and save this nation and the world.
Speaker 04:
Yeah, we got to. I'm telling you, we got to, because as we're hearing all this stuff of what's going on in the border, the economy, there's so many issues. Senator, it's so great to have you. The great Senator Al D'Amato. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks so much. And what do we all stand for? Truth, justice, and the American way. God save America, everybody.
Speaker 03:
You're out for the night, or over a friend's, or in the club, and you want one more drink, or one more hit off that vape. It's just one more, and who wants the fun to end? Until... It all ends. Please, have fun, but know when to say not one more. Because impaired driving is on the rise, and Connecticut's trauma teams don't want to see one more victim.
