Michigan’s U.P. Hit with More Than Four Feet of Snow

MARQUETTE, MICH. ~ In a record setting blizzard, snowfall in Round Lake, southwest of Munising in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, reached 52 inches Tuesday morning. According to an X post by the Marquette National Weather Service, the total tallied up at the Negaunee Township office broke the former two-day snowfall record held since March 1997. The previous high was just below 32 inches, while the new highest amount from March 15-16, 2026 stands at just over 36 inches.
