MICHIGAN, Aug. 19, 2025 ~ In a post made on Truth Social Monday, President Donald Trump signaled that he wants to do away with vote by mail, a popular form of voting.

The said mail-in ballots are “corrupt” without evidence in his post, having lambasted the voting method since the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election, where mail-in ballots were a popular voting method during the COVID-19 pandemic and led to baseless claims of voter fraud. “He’s asking people to ignore the constitution, to say that there’s no mail-in ballots,” said Oakland County Clerk Lisa Brown. “First of all, we have that in our state constitution. We have rights to an absentee ballot in our state constitution, so he’s asking to do things he doesn’t have the authority to do.
