We talked with Bill Press, who is in a unique position to discuss the effect of a possible Bernie Sanders ticket on the down-ballot candidates since for three years he was the head of the California Democratic Party. We disagreed on the impact. He felt if they simply focused on the parts of Bernie's platform they liked, they'd win. I, on the other hand, believe his presence at the top of the ballot would be disastrous for moderates running for the House or Senate.
